I Can't Sleep

It sucks.

I've been averaging maybe four hours of sleep per night and thats being a little generous. I think its a combination of cleaning people 24/7 (they seriously never stop), loud water pipes, lots of birds, wicked uncomfortable bed, jet-lag, and new environment. One of my softer t-shirts is now acting as a pillow case and I turned the "comforter" they gave me into a mattress pad so I no longer have much of a blanket, well see which I can fare better without. I'm kicking myself for not having swiped all the blankets I could find on the way off my united flight like I was planning. I hope this passes...

Thomas,
I like your blog. It is a cool way to keep up. Maybe I can learn a little about blogging as I follow you and your adventure!

But how do you find time to keep it up to date? Is it easy?

Anyway, nice adventure you are on! Keep your chin up, you are very fortunate to have the hutspa and the opportunity - when I was in college going to Bismark was considered global studies.

Oh, by the way I'm luap, you know, Carolyn's husband.

Oh, one more thing.

You look a bit over dressed for the climate in the "Face to a name picture."

No wonder you are so hot!

Luap, thats creative hahaha. You're not the first to comment on the irony of my photo, perhaps I should get on finding a more relevant photo.

Its really not hard to keep it up when you don't have TV or a job bogging you down. far more productive in my opinion.

Do they have tea in the UAE? If so, #1: drink it before bed, it will help, or so i say, and #2: bring me some home.

1.) is tea not heavily caffeinated? I will try to find something aside from Liptons. It may prove difficult.
